We&#8217;re minting carbon sequestered in soil and turning these into dynamic NFT carbon offsets.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>How does the carbon NFT marketplace work?<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We\u2019re transforming carbon sequestered in soil into minted carbon offsets, as dynamic NFTs.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each tonne of carbon on the marketplace is sourced directly from farmers and independently verified. We then certify it through the use of distributed ledger technology (DLT). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sellers on the platform showcase information about the land where the carbon is stored. The first farms on the marketplace are based in the UK and Bulgaria.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dovu.market\">DOVU Carbon Market<\/a> is designed for those who are concerned about their carbon footprints. Buyers can find out more about the source of the carbon and make a purchase. Once purchased, they own a certificate that provides verifiable proof that they have offset their carbon.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>What about the technology?<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The DOVU Carbon Market is powered by <a href=\"https:\/\/hedera.com\/\">\u30d8\u30c7\u30e9\u30cf\u30c3\u30b7\u30e5\u30b0\u30e9\u30d5<\/a>; at the forefront of extending tokenisation technology by connecting tokens to an infinite amount of evidence, this is a perfect use case for carbon offsets.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We\u2019re also working with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hbarfoundation.org\/\">HBAR Foundation<\/a> to bring a continuous supply of audited carbon into the ecosystem, as a flagship application for the network.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wes Geisenberger VP, Sustainability &amp; ESG at HBAR Foundation, said: \u201cWe\u2019re very excited to see the launch of the DOVU Carbon Market. DOVU provides an excellent example of how companies can provide enhanced transparency into the source of their offsets, by leveraging Hedera as the trust layer for sustainability assets.
