DOVU CTO announced as mentor for Web3 accelerator

Outlier Ventures and The HBAR Foundation have launched the Hedera Base Camp – a programme aimed at accelerating 8-10 projects building on the Hedera network. The programme provides access to an extensive network of Hedera and Web3 leaders, one of whom is DOVU CTO, Matt Smithies.

Outlier Ventures will be enlisting Matt’s expertise, who will be a mentor to programme participants. And while everyone will have time to speak with Matt, a few projects will work even closer with him and he will be providing one-to-one support as they build their projects.

Who are Outlier Ventures?

Outlier Ventures backs teams building highly immersive, performant, accessible products in DeFi, sustainability, NFT infrastructure and more. They have a global network of mentors, founders, and experts, who are all involved in the programme. Their scope of experience means they have encountered pretty much everything that comes with startup life.

About the programme

Hedera Base Camp is a three month, flexible Web3 accelerator programme, focused on launching 8-10 projects on Hedera this spring. It supports early founders to help them scale their growth and fundraising abilities. Founders in the programme will have access to in-house operations, commercial, marketing and token design support.

The programme is accepting applications ahead of the closing date on Thursday 17 March.

And most significantly: successful participants will have access to industry-leading mentors, coming from Top 50 protocols, thought-leading enterprises and leading organisations in Web3. This means Matt’s expertise – most recently illustrated by throughput performance testing and launching DOVU’s Staking Beta – is hugely relevant.
